It's standard practice to have a recall clause in the loan (Look at Martin Fulop at Stoke, he signed on loan and 4 days later, before making an appearance, was recalled by Sunderland when Darren Ward got injured!) and as it can't be activated for 28 days you're effectively saying "play the lad this month but if we need him towards the end of the season due to injuries or suspensions we can have him back for April/May and the run-in". Which is fair enough don't you agree?
