Loan star Elliott Bennett believes Bury have all but secured their League Two status for another season following their victory at Shrewsbury.

The Wolves midfielder's brilliant run provided Nicky Adams' winning goal in Saturday's 1-0 success at New Meadow.

The result lifted the Shakers 15 points clear of the drop zone and Bennett is demanding they finish the season strongly.

"I think we are safe from relegation now," he said.

"But we still have five games left and hopefully we can push on and get another 15 points and see where we can finish in the league."
