Tigers boss Phil Brown is ready to step up his interest in newly departed Bolton Wanderers winger Stelios Giannakopoulos when the player returns from international duties with Greece in the European Championships.

The former Reebok Stadium star takes part in Greece's last game tonight against the Spanish as they are already out of the Euro 2008 tournament after failing to beat the Russians in their last Group D game.

Stelios is no surprise to City fans he has come on to Phil Brown's radar as he prepares a squad ready for the challenge of Premier League football at Hull City after coaching the player while assistant to Sam Allardyce at Bolton.

Hull City chairman Paul Duffen confirmed the growing speculation in the 33 year old arriving at the Circle when stating - "He's someone we're thinking about. Phil Brown admires him having worked closely with him over at Bolton."
