I disagree. If Newcastle had dominated 90 minutes, and lost out by a goal undeserved, then fair enough. But in all fairness, Middlesborough deserved the result just as much as Newcastle. Overall, both teams created enough chances to put the game beyond doubt, both teams were hard done by at times in regards to the decisions made by the officials. But that is a part of football.
All in all, they both deserved something, and ultimately the result, if not the scoreline, reflected the game. Keegan should be feeling down because Newcastle shouldn't just be able to beat Middlesborough, but should be beating them convincingly. It seems he has to start realising the problems he has, instead of making or finding excuses.
