Mark Little feels he has furthered his football education following his loan move to Northampton Town.

The temporary switch, which is scheduled to end after next Saturday's game against Leeds, has seen the 19-year-old playing under a different system with the League One club.

More used to playing in the right-back role and getting forward whenever possible, he has adapted a more defensive position whilst working at Town under former Wolves' coach Stuart Gray.

He said: "I am used to playing in a 4-4-2 formation at Wolves. But injuries forced Stuart to play a 3-5-2 after my first game at Northampton and it has worked out well.

"Playing on the right side of a 'three' has meant that I have to concentrate a lot more on my work at the back now.

"This can only help me improve my positional sense in defence.

"Stuart is a good coach and a good manager and I've enjoyed working with him again. He was Glenn Hoddle's assistant when I signed my pro contract at Wolves.

"It's also been nice to see Gabor (Gypese) again. He's joined Northampton and I've told the lads there what a good player he was at Wolves. He was really unlucky with his cruciate injury so hopefully he'll be able to comeback and reach those levels again."

Town are unbeaten since Mark's arrival at Sixfields having won three and drawn two of the games he has played in.

He added: "DJ (Daniel Jones) was still at Town when I arrived so he helped me settle in and introduced me to the lads there It's been good to play senior football and to have been a part of the team."
