Default Diaz: Playing Well Is The Most Important Thing

San Lorenzo coach Ramon Diaz seemed to suggest that his side playing attractive football was the most important thing for him ahead of their Clausura game with Racing Club on Friday.

San Lorenzo endured a terrible start to their Clausura campaign, losing all of their first three matches and failing to score a goal in any of them, but started the road to recovery with a 3-1 win over Estudiantes last weekend.

Diaz is looking for more of the same from his players on Friday, but suggested that as long as they played well he would have no complaints.

"We want to maintain the level we played at in the last game. It is going to be an important match. I want the team to play well: that is the most important thing," he told the gathered reporters at a press conference this afternoon.

Having failed to score in five games in all competitions before last weekend, many have criticised the form of San Lorenzo's forwards, but Diaz believes that they will come good if they are given time.

"We all wait for the goals of Silvera, Romeo and Bergessio, but it is necessary to give them time. They must gain in confidence. Hopefully they can get some goals, but not just them, the whole of the team."

Finally, Diaz was asked to comment on the sale of midfielder Jorge Ortiz to AIK during the week.

"They are the necessities that the club has. For me, I am content that our players have a place in the European market. It is an opportunity, so why not," he concluded.

Probable Starting XI: Orión; Adrián González, Méndez, Aguirre, Aureliano Torres; Rivero, Juan Manuel Torres, Hirsig, Bilos; Bergessio and Romeo.
