After San Lorenzo's shock 2-0 defeat against Caracas FC in their Copa Libertadores opener, Ramon Diaz stated that his team will surely improve.
San Lorenzo played poorly and fell to a 2-0 defeat in a match in which opponents Caracas FC were much superior to them during most part of the ninety minutes.
Team coach Ramon Diaz, who guided San Lorenzo to the Clausura Championship title last year, stated that although his team played horribly, they will surely improve in the coming weeks.
"We have to keep on improving. Today we didn't demonstrate the level of football that we should be playing, but we have a team with huge potential to do very well," he told the press.
San Lorenzo, who were beaten 2-0 by Newell's Old Boys in their Argentine season opener last Friday, have been the shadow of the side that did extremely well last year, but much is still expected of them.
Their next Copa Libertadores group match will be against Brazil's Cruzeiro on the 21st of February, in Belo Horizonte.
