Just read numerous stories on Newsnow that MON is ready to splash out 10m on Spurs flop Darren Bent

Don't know what to think about this to be honest - i no the lad has alot of ability to do well - but not sure if he is the kind of striker we need - to be fair we dont really need a striker anyway

Seems silly signing Bent for 10m when he could of signed Defoe for 6 or 7m in January

Still when you look at Mon turning Heskey into a 11m player - makes me wonder what he could do with Bent
