If there is a pre-agreed fee, were I MON I'd say, "Thanks, but you can take him back", leave it a week and go back to them with a revised offer of, say, £5m. If Liverpool really want him they'll take him back anyway, even if Villa offered the agreed price, but if they want to offload him they'll take whatever price they can get for him - Villa have all the aces, it's just how they play them.
