Arsenal midfielder Mark Randall is looking forward to progressing his career with the Clarets after making his debut in Saturday's game at West Brom.
The 18-year-old came on in the second half at the Hawthorns, making a promising contribution and the young Gunner is now hoping he can secure some regular football at Turf Moor.
"I found out about the move on Thursday morning and I trained here on Friday morning for the first time. Then I was lucky enough to get into the squad against West Brom," said Randall.
The result was disappointing but I got a good experience out of the game. The players will be lifted back in training and we'll be back on Saturday to win. It was great for the fans to travel down to West Brom in such numbers, it gives us a good adrenaline rush playing when there's a good support there.
"I have to do my best to get into the squad and play every week. It will be hard work though.
"I need to get stronger and it's all about working hard and winning. I think I will be a better player when I go back to Arsenal for the experience."
Randall is no stranger to Burnley, having been on the bench for the third round clash at Turf Moor in January, then later featuring in Arsenal youth team's 5-1 win over the Clarets in the FA Youth Cup last month.
And he insisted Burnley's strong performance against the Gunners in the FA Cup was a pivotal factor in his loan move to Lancashire.
"We played them in the FA youth Cup and knocked them out, but in the FA Cup the first team gave us a good game and showed that they were a good team," insisted Randall.
"I think that's why Arsenal recommended I came to Burnley as they play a similar style of football and like to get the ball down and play.
"I'm happy to be here. I can pick up plenty of advice from all the players here because I'm young and some of them have got a lot of experience. I can learn loads from them.
"Owen Coyle is trying to help me out as much as I can to improve my career and he wants me to enjoy my time here.
"I definitely wanted to come out on loan because playing too much in the reserves is not good, especially in the English league because I don't think the reserve set-up is strong enough for the players."
