Bristol City have moved top of the Championship after beating Hull, Watford remain in third, while West Brom brushed aside Plymouth.

With Stoke playing on Sunday, The Robins beat The Tigers courtesy of a second half winner by Jamie McCombe at Ashton Gate.

Robbie Blake equalised twice for Burnley against high-flying Watford at Turf Moor as Aidy Boothroyd's side missed the chance to move second.

West Brom returned to wining ways with a 3-0 success over Plymouth at The Hawthorns.

Scunthorpe have leapfrogged Colchester at the foot of the table following a priceless win over Coventry. Sheffield Wednesday have closed to within a point of Preston, who lost to Crystal Palace.

Wolves also beat colchester
