Default Ticket Prices
Old 03-04-2008, 04:40 PM   #1 (permalink)

Got the renewal form for my season ticket this morning and it seems that Paul Duffen in his infinate wisdom has decided to hike up the price of an individual matchday ticket up by £2 AND THEN HAS THE CHEEK TO CAMPAIGN TO GET MORE PEOPLE TO GET BEHIND THE TIGERS!!!!!!! What is the man on???? I was so insensed I sent am email to the local paper who have been involved in this campaign. I may not be brilliant at maths but even I know that if the prices were lower more people would turn up to matches. DUHHHHHHHHHHHH. What businesses seem to do is put up the prices to compensate for the lack of custom they get...which drives more people away! If clubs want their fans to spend what little dispenseable income people have on going to matches they should lower prices on tickets and on the food and drinks then and only then will they fill their grounds!

i know how u feel, i had mine a few weeks ago and because im 18 in October i now have to have a adults one. So no i have to go from 195 to 3.45 and i only get 30 a week. I wrote to wolves and fatty Jez about why we don't do student ones and his reply was ' because we feel it was abused, you have to pay adult prices or you can get student deals on the day. Yeah ok you can get them on the day but you cant have your same seat and your not guaranteed a ticket, surely students could take or post a letter to the ticket office to confirm they are in education. How am i supposed to afford that.

Now i have o try and ask my Dad to help me out

Prices are a total joke, but nothing we can do about it to be honest.

If we all pay them, they will stay the same and go up because they are in demand.

If we stop going to games, they will stay the same or go up in order to keep the club's profits up from those who do still go.

Same as everything else we get overcharged for in this country. You pay because end of day you really have no other choice.

True. This is crazy but it is actually cheaper to get a train with the kids and go to watch Hull City's feeder club..North Ferriby..than it is to get a bus and us all go to watch The Tigers! When Hull Played them out of season it cost £24 for all 4 of us including train tickets!!! How crazy is that?? Plus we got right up close to the players and got tons of autographs into the bargain!!! Soon enuff only well off people will be able to go to football matches because the clubs will have out priced the ordinary supporter!
