Deportivo Cuenca coach Gabriel Perrone was "satisfied" with his team's 1-0 victory over Estudiantes de La Plata in their Copa Libertadores group opener.
Gabriel Perrone was delighted with his team's 1-0 victory over Estudiantes, and feels that if his team continue to play in the same manner as they did against the Argentine club, they will surely advance to the knock-out phase of the competition.
"We beat a great team, a team that could surely go the full way," stated Perrone, who feels his team played to their full capacity.
The Argentine affirmed that Estudiantes "played a great match, they played with precision, speed and weren't concerned about the altitude."
"That makes Deportivo Cuenca's victory ever better, because Estudiantes played a good match, without thinking too much about the high altitude," he said.
Perrone was proud with his team, who played a very smart game, and never allowed Estudiantes to take the initiative, even after they had gone ahead.
Maurcio Ferradas' strike in first half injury time, could go a long way, as they club strive to reach the knock-out phase of the competition.
