On Wednesday night Danubio of Uruguay will cross the river plate to face Lanus of Argentina in their Copa Libertadores group opener on Thursday.
Danubio, who have been reinforced with lots of quality this season, will clash with a very difficult Lanus side, who edged Independiente of Avellaneda 1-0 in their Argentine Clausura Championship opener on the weekend.
Lanus, who won the Argentine Apertura Championship in style last year, are the favourites to progress to the knock-out round of the competition, but will have to be at their very best to get past the difficult Uruguayans.
Danubio, who will travel to Buenos Aires on Wednesday night, are hoping to return to the Uruguayan capital with a positive result, that should set them up nicely for the rest of their group matches.
Their starting eleven has already been confirmed, and it will include the likes of Alejandro Lembo, Gabriel Alcoba, and former Defensor Sporting ace Carlos Maria Morales.
The match will be played at Lanus' 30,500 capacity stadium, which is situated in the South of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
