Club Nacional de Football coach Gerardo Pelusso affirmed to the press that his Uruguayan club have to pick up a positive result on their visit to Coronel Bolognesi on Tuesday night.
Pelusso stated that Nacional have to be "aggressive" because they "desperately need" the three points after losing 2-1 against Cienciano in their Copa Libertadores opener last week.
"We can't return to Uruguay with our pockets empty," stated Pelusso, after Nacional's training session at the Modelo de Tacna stadium.
The coach revealed the tactics his team will use for the match, so that they can escape from Peru with the three points.
"The idea is to play with four defenders, because it is a different match, because Bolognesi don't have much when it comes to wing players, unlike Cienciano. That's why we have chosen to include another player in the midfield, who is Cardaccio.
"We have done this to be more aggressive, and to look for the victory, because we need the points. We can't return to Uruguay without anything from this match," he stated.
Pelusso feels that Bolognesi won't be as strong as Cienciano, but they will still be a difficult team to break down.
"The match will be different. They don't have players who are as good individually, like Cienciano do. But Bolognesi are a strong unit overall, they are strongly assembled, and are very solid, but their attacking players aren't as great as the team we played last week."
