Steaua Bucharest who entered CL in the last two years,but seems that they stil don't have enough value.( this season only managed to get 1p) semifinalist of UEFA Cup 2 years ago.
Their chairman invested almost 10mil this years in transfers and seems that will invest more in the next few years.Their manager is Adrian Ilie(ex-Valencia player) and the Coach is Marius Lacatus.
Star players:Robinson Zapata(Columbia),Mirel Radoi,Nicolae Dica,Pepe Moreno

Dissapointments: Dayro Moreno

Rapid Bucharest- it's best performance was a quater-final in the UEFA Cup 2 years ago,knocked out by Steaua B. The most annoying thing is that in the last 3 years Rapid was knocked-out without losing.Rapid in the last 3 years finished 2nd or 3rd.But won 2 Cups and 1 SuperCup.This season was awful,we lost 12 points with relegated teams.Refs,our play,coach changings and dirty things made us not finish upper.
Rapid has a new chairman for 1month now.There are promises made that a new stadium,a very good coach and huge investments will be made.

Star players: Danut Coman( I rate him as one of the best goalies in the world)Vladimir Bozovic(Montenegro),C.Lazar,Cesinha

Dissapointments:Ranko Despotovici(scored 17 goals last year in Serbia)

Dinamo Bucharest : A team that is controled by 6-7 wealth people from Romania.Performances in Europe in the last years were achieved 2 years ago when they passed the UEFA groupes.Last year they won Liga 1 with no emotions.This season was a disaster for them,fights inside the club made them weak.They invested a lot too buying one of the best youths in Romania Gabriel Torje for 2mil and Oswaldo Miranda(Gimnasia de Jujuy) 2.2mil,Ianis Zicu

Star players:Bogdan Lobont,Adrian,Cristea,Ionel Danciulescu,Florin Bratu.
Dissapointments:Ianis Zicu,Gabriel Torje,Miranda(I really don't understand what they saw at this player)

CFR Cluj: 5 years ago they were in 3rd Division. Their ascention was made possible greetings to a man that nobody knows much and from were he has so much money,Arpad Paszkany. They invested over 60mil over these 5 years.
CFR was the first team who started to buy and put basis on foreign players.
Their team was at start created from a lot of portuguesse players.They have I think 12 portuguese players,5 argentinians,2 swedish,3 brazilians,6 romanian,5-6 africans and other nationalities.
This year at half season they had 11p ahead,but incredibly they are now on 1st position,but depending on the fixtures for winning Liga I.
Their first season in Europe they played in Intertoto managing to reach the final being defeated by Atletico Madrid.(beaten St,Ettien,Athletic Bilbao)
But the most dissapointing result they achieved this year being eliminated by Anothorsis Famagusta in the First Round of UEFA Cup.

Tonight is the clash between the fercest rivals Dinamo B. - Steaua B. This match is crucial for Steaua,because if they win they will win Liga I if not they will probably finish 2nd behind CFR Cluj.

Dinamo is fighting for their honor and for their supporters because this match represents a lot for them, cooling the athmosphere which is very tensioned.

I will be a fan of Dinamo, Simply because I don't want Steaua to win the title.

Romanian football developed pretty fast, a lot of rich people came here to invest in football.The TV rights were sold with 90mil euros for 3 years.A huge record from the previous contract that was at about 30mil.

Rumours:

CFR Cluj signed Christian Nasuti (River) for 1mil euro.
Cesar Arzo (Villareal) is linked with a transfer to CFR Cluj
Pablo Barzola(Argentinos) linked with CFR Cluj
Yssouf Kone (Rosenborg) his agent was seen at CFR's training ground disscusing with CFR manager.The player was wanted this winter in Cluj,but they preffered to wait for the contract expiring.

Pepe Moreno (Steaua-loaned from Independiente) will be bought since the player is very pleased with his situation at Steaua and also the club very pleased with him.

Laszlo Boloni manager- has been offered a contract of 1mil euro plus future clauses that will make him win a total 1.5mil euro. He is currently managing Al Jazeera and is payed 1.8 mil euro.The former Rennes coach told Rapid chairman that he will give an answer on 15-25 May.

CFR Cluj has moved up to 1st place with one match remaining from the season.
Since 1990-1991 a team from outside Bucharest haven't won LIGA I, 18 years have past. I am so happy.

The last matches of the season will decide 1st place, 3rd place and the last team relegated.

Another incredible thing are the last leg matches.

U Cluj - CFR Cluj the local derby, not long ago U Cluj was the representative team for the city.Although U Cluj is relegated the match will be life or death.

Steaua B - Gloria Buzau ( Gloria is considered the second team of Steaua,they have no more than 10 players loaned there and 7 are indispensable. Steaua needs a win, but Gloria is the team that tries to avoid relegation and also must win. )
