Football Manager 2008

Does anyone play Football Manager 2008? Is it me or has the latest version become ridiculously hard does anyone have any tips or tactics that actually give consistent good results?

I do play the FM games but haven't tried out 08,but i think the game has steered more towards the happiness of players now........abit like xpert11.The more rotating and sitting out players do just like real life,they get unsettled and restless.....

try form training aswell as making sure that squad numbers are what they prefer and i would also if possible when a players form dips slightly just drop him for one or two games.........but in saying this you also have to bear in mind not to weaken your first 11 just to please one player.

yeah most people are like that but i guest being set on real life situations then they would take some minor effect on players,but to be honest i only really stumbled on this issue by accident when bored one day and decided to fix a basic first eleven.......lol

I have also noticed that to a decree even x11 deals with this........let me know if it helps,and just remember todays players are more based on prima-donna brains than their skill levels like in the old part of FM series.

Same here lol they just have a number thats free end off lol. I've got the new one but haven't played it for ages but i was manager of wolves and are currently 3rd in the league

I got FM 2008 and its so hard. I been sacked a few times so thought id try my hand at some other leagues and ended up in Portugal with Beleneneses or whatever there called lol I did quite well and got some decent players and ended up winning the Portugese cup. I got offered the Leverkusen job and am now building the team to compete in europe. If your having a lot of trouble mate theres a good website where you can download some tactics, training methods, find some promising youngsters etc. You might of heard of the site but if not...... www.thedugout.net
