Default Legends Returning As Managers

Do you think it's wise for legends to return to your club as managers?

I ask this as Paulo Di-Canio has expressed his feelings to return to the Hammers as a manager one day

In most cases it never works - but on the off chance it does

What's your opinions?

Default Great players CAN be great managers!

Being a great player and a club legend doesn't necessarily mean someone can become a managerial legend, at their old club or elsewhere.

Cruyff, Beckenbauer & Capello were successes at their old clubs; but just as many legends were abject failures. My own club had John Robertson as boss and it didn't work out, we also had Jim Jeffries and it did! Will Southgate or McAllister be successful? Only time will tell. Perhaps failure is due, in part, to the higher expectation levels? I mean, look at the managerial careers of Bobby Moore and Bobby charlton!
