Farsley Celtic manager John Deacey is trying to bring Rochdale midfielder Lee Crooks on loan to Throstle Nest.
The 30-year-old former Manchester City and Bradford player has played 10 times for League Two side Dale this season.
If Farsley can complete the loan signing, Deacey plans to give Crooks his debut in the Blue Square Premier match at home to Cambridge on Saturday.
Farsley are currently just a place and one point above the relegation zone in their first season at that level.
