Sean O'Hanlon's 10th-minute header proved the difference between the sides as MK Dons moved back to the top of League Two with a hard-fought victory.
O'Hanlon met Colin Cameron's corner at the near post and though his header was cleared by Danny Boshell an assistant ruled the ball had crossed the line.

John Miles was denied a second when his shot was well saved by Phil Barnes.

Grimsby staged a rally and were unlucky when Nick Fenton met Gary Jones' cross but his header hit the post.
