Stags owner attacked after match
Mansfield face relegation from the Football League
The owner of Mansfield Town was attacked after his side lost a crucial match in the League Two relegation battle.
Keith Haslam was taken to hospital for an MRI scan after he sustained injuries at Field Mill following the Stags 0-1 defeat against Rotherham.
The side are now almost certain to be relegated to non-league football.
It is thought Mr Haslam suffered minor injuries. Police have not yet confirmed if arrests have been made.
It's very sad for the team
James Derry, former chairman of Mansfield Town
Hundreds of supporters protested after the final whistle chanting "Haslam out".
Police and stewards had to remove some fans from the directors' box at Field Mill.
The result means Stags will be relegated on Tuesday if Chester draw with Stockport.
Former chairman of Mansfield Town, James Derry, said: "It's very sad for the team... scenes like that, of course you deplore any physical violence of any sort after the match."
