Default no excuse!!!!

It's no good saying sorry...he should have been sent off imo....not just for the tackle but for the dissent....I know refs somtimes get it wrong but they should be showed some respect and players should set an example to youngsters!!

It's one rule for one team, and another for the rest.

Ashley Cole gets a ticking off.

Mascherano gets sent off.

Rooney swears as much as he likes at the ref, and nothing ever happens.

Spot on comments, and if all this disrespecting petulents is to stop, then in fairness refs need to all sit down and decide that the only rule is whatever team, player is involved they get a red end of,any ref seen failing to uphold this rule should be fined just as much as a player would for their dissent..

Sometimes I think the refs are to scared to do anything it's not only the players but the fans and the management who have a pop if they feel that a wrong decision has been made in the game. Managers can be as bad sometimes when they make comments after a matchabout a ref they get a fine but it doesn't seem to make a slight bit of difference cos it just keeps happening. Managers should lead by example and keep quiet about the refs after the game and make a complaint to the FA if they feel hard done to during a game.

I agree there, for sometime now the FA have had a preceedure for what you have stated, yet time and time again managers flout this and seem to get away with it and the quicker the FA stamp this out and enforce hefty fines and touchline bans to those managers that consistantly air their views like they do,Fergie being the biggest one for this the sooner the dissent towards refs will fall...like you say managers should lead by example.

I presume the vid is of Roy Keane kicking off at the ref( I cant click links without my computer dying thing)...I was talking about his comments about managers and how they kick off about the refs at the end of matches....his playing career is over and I can only say he must be seeing the other side of things...I guess everyone grows up sometimes!!!
