I made a reference to a match some three or four years ago, in which Sir Alex Ferguson spoke to the fourth official near the end of a match Utd were drawing in.

I remember at the time, that the official had the injury time board held down in front of him, and it could be seen that 3 minutes was showing. After a brief word in the officials ear, the board was raised a minute or so later, to reveal that the time had been changed to 4 minutes.

This was raised as a question by the pundits after the game, and all joking apart, they did question what SAF said to the official.

Did I dream this, or does anyone else remember the incident?

He's done it many times, its what he does, he seems to think he has a god given right to interfere in matters which should be beyond his control, but you never know who may be on the payroll!

He only does it wen there loosing and wen they are , he offers the 4th offical a bottle of scotch .
