With all the comings and goings of foriegn journeymen, across the globe, perhaps a solution, to the neglect of homegrown talent, would be to have a permanent twenty team international A league and B league, where the top twenty ranked FIFA teams say.. start in the A league ,and then the top four eams of the next 20 teams inthe B league get promoted. as per the premier league system.
This would free up the big clubs to foster the emerging local talents,it would still draw crowds in the club divisions, as these players would be the ones on the fringe of the national team, or future national stars.
The advantage being the man in the stand could once again identify with the local talent who doesnt switch clubs as quick as a cold beer getting drunk in Dubai.
Anyway what do you think of this as an idea?
