Jonny Evans has revealed he would open to making his move from Manchester United to Sunderland permanent.
The Northern Ireland international is currently on his second loan spell at Sunderland after joining the club during the January transfer window.
Evans, who helped Sunderland win promotion to the Premier League last season, says he is enjoying life at Wearside and would consider a permanent switch to the Stadium of Light.
"I'm enjoying the challenge at Sunderland and I would definitely be interested in coming here," said Evans.
"I think the manager has always said he would like me back - and it was a real compliment to have Roy Keane saying he would like to sign me permanently, especially for a big club like Sunderland.
"When the times comes, I think that will be discussed between Sunderland, United and myself.
"I might not have a choice. Sir Alex Ferguson might say, 'Look, Sunderland have put a bid in and you can go'".
