Default Keano out?

While on other forums, i am noticing a fair few SAFC fans having a pop at keano lately, saying maybe he should go or that he isnt committed to the cause and that its just a stepping stone, IMO, thats bollocks, if he isnt committed, he wouldnt be here, this is ROY KEANE remember, not kevin keegan!, he hasnt lost the plot, he has a squad where half the players are not premiership class and he has people like Miller making it even harder for him, a severe lack of firepower thrown in there as well and I dont think even Jose would be doing much better.

with the next few weeks coming up, we need EVERYONE behind the team and the manager, people who want to sla him should go to the academy to do it and stay away from the stadium, 100% behind the lads, we need to be the 12th man, not a bunch o *********

rant over

Opinions?

Default Legend!

When Keano leaves Sunderland, he'll be the one to decide. He could walk away at any time but is anything but a quitter. Ok, this season could have been better, some of his buys could have been better, a lot of other things could have been better but one thing is for certain ................. things WILL get better and next season is one for optimism.

As an aside, have you seen this?

Default its all new

I have never been one to slate a manager without firstly giving them a fair crack of the whip!As i dont beleive managers should be given a three/four contract just to oust them within the first 8mths of the deal.

As for Keano he is indeed a legend of modern day football, self minded and regardless who it is will tell them whats what, yes the black cats have had it hard this season but there is just three points that all the so-called die hard Sunderland fans need to consider before they continue barracking Keano....

Points of Note!!!
1]Firstly it was these very same fans who campaigned to have Keano at the helm when Quin was buying out the previous owners,so they now have what they loudly voiced for and should stand behind their wanted choice.

2]Secondly they need to remember that this is their first season in the top flight and the pace and quality of the game is off a slightly better standard than that off the Championship and the other lower leagues.

3]Thirdly since his retirement from the game as a player this is Keano's first major managerial job and the longer he is at the relm, the better experiance he gains and the higher Sunderlands success rate will be under him.And come next season previding the club survives the relegation fight this season the better and stronger the club will be in the premiership.

After all its true when people say......The first is the hardest but then it becomes easier as you go along..and that is all so true when it comes to life in the Prem, your first season is hard and previding clubs survive that first season life gets easier...

That's not what Mrs. 'Chopper' said about childbirth!

You missed out the 4th point, Roy doesn't give a what the fans think or say! He's probably his own worst critic and will be doing everything possible to make Sunderland the best they can be.

You're right keano doesnt give a arctic about what the fans are saying or thinking and he'll be striding to get the better out of himself and the team, but the fans should most importantly relise that showing their great support for keano and the team will help him acheive this faster and better, than banishing him to the relms of terrace hatred and disapproval and kicking a team and managerment when they are already fighting to stand up.
It will surprise many of them to find out that dispite their disparing feelings giving Keano and the team a feeling of being wanted and loved no matter what happens will quietly help the managerment and team to build up their confidence and fast track the coming of the quality the fans so dearly wish to see.

Very few of the fans have turned on Keano except the odd few dafties.

He is the first one to admit we have struggled this year and the fans have been behind the team 100% of the way through that struggle.

We need to be serious here. Keano is a young manager and although he did brilliantly last year, he isn't a miracle worker... He is a human being! This season was never going to be easy and if we are honest we all knew that!

We will survive this season then things will start looking up.

Was a fair few around me slating him to be honest, i couldnt believe it, obv the majority are behind him but since the villa game, the crowd seemed a lot flatter and more negative

I think Everton was just a flat game on a whole to be honest and so that does make it more difficult to get behind the team because it can be frustrating. I thought that the crowd was good against Wigan once the team got going, but that might of just been where i was sitting.
