Sunderland AFC have announced that Liam Miller has been put on the club's transfer list.

The Irish midfielder has been told he can look for a new club.

Transfer regulations mean the player is only available for an emergency loan move to a Football League club during this season.

A permanent transfer is not permitted until after the season, in May when the transfer window reopens.

Miller joins Ross Wallace, David Connolly, Ian Harte, Stephen Wright, Graham Kavanagh (currently on loan to Sheffield Wednesday), Greg Halford (currently on loan to Charlton) and Stanislav Varga (currently on loan to Burnley) on the Sunderland transfer list.

Think about it though, he cant leave on a permanent deal till the summer,keanos got summat up his sleeve, Miller isn't actually that great so this should mean we're going for more quality

I think Liam Miller is a canny little player on his day. Also he has done a job for our squad on several occations this year when practically all of our midfield have been injured. He has often been the pick of a bad midfield.

Also he can leave before the summer, because it means he is available for emergency loan deals.

I think Liam Miller would be a good squad player to keep ahold of while trying to bring in a bit more quality.

That's just my opinion of him though...

thats an interesting one actually, he was linked with Espanol and i think if he had gone there, I would have agreed wholeheartedly with you on that one, but to go to the smogs was a huge mistake and one he'll regret, wouldn't want him back after he went there either.

I totally agree with that and think Keane is jumping the gun a bit getting rid of the likes of Wallace and Miller.

Murphy himself would have been gone in January had it not been for a sudden change in form. Clearly we have worse players sitting in the reserves.

But you still cannot ignore the fact he was playing Premier League football with a mid table team while we were struggling in the Championship.
