Default From the Stadium of Light to BMO Field!

MO JOHNSTON is in talks with former Celtic midfielder Ross Wallace over a move to his MLS side Toronto.

The 22-year-old, currently sidelined with knee ligament damage, can leave Sunderland in the summer.
From the Premiership to MLS? A bit of a drop for a player of such potential? If I were him I'd be telling my agent to find me a Championship club for next season and to negotiate a free transfer from Sunderland. He still has a contract until August 2009 so they might want a fee for him?

I think it's a complete joke he is being allowed to leave in the first place. He's been a decent player this year and there are much worse players in the squad. At 22, he's probably going to get better too. Championship is the minimum level he should aim for.

He is a canny little squad player and did a job for us when we had injuries. He has also scored 3 goals for us this season! Shame Keane doesn't seem to rate him.

Default A legend but ............

Keano is a legend but some of his buys have been less than successful and he seems to be operating a revolving door policy. Liam Miller, Andy Cole (7 games and sent to Burnley for the rest of the season!), Greg Halford (cost the club £3.5 million, played 8 games and is now on loan at Charlton!), Anthony Stokes ...etc. etc.

Roy seems to spend, realise he's made a mistake then cast aside the players he paid so much for? Strange!

Those are a few players, and have not all been cast aside.

Liam Miller has been with us for 2 years and done a good job. Keane has admitted he was transfer listed because of lateness and also stated that might change should he improve... clearly a warning.

I don't think Andy Cole was ever intended as a first team player. He was also free.

Halford... well I cannot repeat the stories since it's caused trouble elsewhere, needless to say I hear his on pitch performance was the least of his worries.

Anthony Stokes is 19, and still playing first team football for us. Cleared off the line in last week's game v Everton.

Sunderland have always had a massive turnover of players, I don't think it is merely a Keane thing.

Just Googled it and it's a mix of Bosnich and Rix apparently!
