Stories about Tottenham's players having undergone a diet revolution have been done to death. But this one tickled our fancy - and, here at Sportsmail online we do have a nose for a story after all.

Spurs boss Juande Ramos insists upon a diet which involves no sauces, no fruit juice, no sugar, plenty of exercise - and plenty of time on the toilet.

And despite the club being able to sniff the sweet smell of success in the Carling Cup recently, according to World Soccer magazine, Spurs stars are complaining of the stink caused by the flatulence that has resulted from manager Ramos' insistence on the players' healthy eating.

With the Carling Cup safely ensconced in the White Hart Lane trophy cabinet it shows that all the farting about has been worth it.
