RIO WANTS MANYOO STAY
Rio Ferdinand hopes to finish his career at ManYoo.
In contrast to the unedifying wrangling that marked his last set of contract negotiations, Rio has pledged his future to the Old Trafford club.
"I want to finish my career at United and the plan is to sign a contract that will enable me to do that," he told the Sunday Mirror.
"I don't want to go over what happened before. I think it's obvious that I am happy at United.
"It's important to me that I can secure my future here. It's important for everyone to get themselves sorted out and I think the club are trying to tie down lots of players.
"That bodes well for the future of the club. It's a fantastic place to play, the fans are brilliant and I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be."
"The club have made contact with my agent and we'll go from there, but hopefully it will be done quickly."

CHELSKI TO DRIVE A BENTLEY
The People says that Chelski will spend £10m in the summer recruiting David Bentley from Blackburn.

Bentley has been offered a new deal at Blackburn but is said to be stalling on putting pen to paper.
BENNI TO STAY A ROVER
Another player being offered a new deal at Blackburn is Benni McCarthy.
The News of the World reckons that 'Striker McCarthy, 30, is happy to extend his stay - and boss Hughes has promised him a new long-term contract.'
"I feel he wants to stay. He's under contract but we want to make Blackburn Benni's club," Hughes is quoted as saying.
HYYPIA FOR BOLTON

The News of the World also says that 'Bolton are trying to convince Sami Hyypia not to sign a new deal at Liverpool.
'Wanderers boss Gary Megson is keen on 34-year-old Reds centre-back Hyypia, who is coming to the end of his contract.'
It's believed that Hyypia has been offered a one-year extension at Liverpool but he has yet to agree terms.
