The 28-year-old Argentina international is expected to leave Real Zaragoza this summer following their relegation from La Liga. And Newcastle have enquired about his availability, according to the player's representative Gustavo Muscardi. "Newcastle have asked about Aimar's situation - that is certain," Muscardi told The Sunday Sun.
