TONY Mowbray has not ruled out dipping into the loan market to boost table-topping Albion's promotion push.
The loan window will re-open on Friday giving Football League clubs one last chance to bolster their squads.
The Baggies boss drafted in loan signings Michal Danek and Kim Do-Heon during the January transfer window and is keeping an open mind over the possibility of further new recruits.
"All positions on the field are important and it's vital that we create competition and that nobody feels that they're going to play every week," said Mowbray.
It's possible we may add to the squad if the right players come along.
"We should never rest on our laurels.
"January is a window where you can spend lots of money because everybody wants lots of money for their players.
"But in the Championship you can look at the market, see what's about, see where teams are in the Premier League and try to use the marketplace after the January window shuts.
"I'm not saying we will but it's something we're monitoring.
