During his playing career with Celtic, Mowbray's wife a native of Renfrewshire, died of breast cancer.

In a show of solidarity, Tony suggested that the Celtic players perform a huddle immediately before the following match. This remains the pre-match practice amongst the current Celtic players.

The dignified manner in which he handled this tragedy won him respect from all sides of Scottish football.

Not a lot to smile about!

I understand he has had tragedy in his life but haven't a lot of people???? Peter Jackson of Lincoln City is currently undergoing treatment for throat cancer but still manages a smile and a joke even though he cant have an awful lot to smile about at the moment! I was merely try to point out with my thread that the man has no passion weather WBA are winning or losing. They have been thrashing teams recently....except for us the other week...hee hee i dont miss an oportunity to gloat do i???.....but he never seems pleased in post match interviews not even the corners of his mouth turn up....personal tragedy or not u would think he would show some pleasure when his team are winning matches and getting good results.
