Daniel Jones is returning to Northampton on loan.

The left-sided player will stay at Sixfields until the end of the season, although Wolves have a 24 hour recall option after 28 days.

He will be joining fellow Academy graduate Mark Little, whose own loan at Northampton has been extended by a further month. Mark has already served two months.

Both players have proved popular with fans of the League One side during their temporary spells at the club. Daniel, who first went to Northampton in August, returned to Wolves and made one appearance in January.

I'm quite annoyed at this to be honest, why call him back if he was only gonna be used 20 mins in one game

It just baffles me, He's a promising good and defo has potential, he's not scared to take people on and he beats them and has a cracking cross and shot what more does he have to do? I really hope this isn't the end for him at wolves i will be so gutted if it is.

It's standard practice to have a recall clause in the loan (Look at Martin Fulop at Stoke, he signed on loan and 4 days later, before making an appearance, was recalled by Sunderland when Darren Ward got injured!) and as it can't be activated for 28 days you're effectively saying "play the lad this month but if we need him towards the end of the season due to injuries or suspensions we can have him back for April/May and the run-in". Which is fair enough don't you agree?

Yeah but what im saying is imo he could get into the Wolves team as he is better then some ,so why isn't he been given a chance. Also i just don't see why they called him back played him for 20 minutes no one has got injured that affects Jones so why send him back on loan, surely if he wasn't gong to play we shouldn't of called him back in the first place.

Maybe they just wanted to see how he'd fare in the Wolves team after the initial loan spell and decided after a cameo that a further spell would do him more good than polishing the bench with his arse?

Lol i see your point and i'd rather him play football then sit on the bench but i think he could do a job for us but he's not gonna be given the chance

I've seen it all in my time and sometimes it's better for a young lad to get games under his belt at a smaller club then try but not perform on the bigger stage. With a run of games will come confidence and the last thing you want is him to come back, be pitched into a higher level of football and be inconsistent, great one game anonymous the next. time will tell but he may come back after 28 days, he may come back for pre-season but I'll wager you'll see more of him next season.

I hope so, like i have said he's a talent will do a great job for any championship side at the moment, would be disappointed if they sold him

i wish the lad would have got a run in the side with our season all but over, can't see us making the play-offs anyway, so it should be, give the youngsters a chance
