Default wolves internationals

Molineux trio David Edwards, Freddy Eastwood and Wayne Hennessey all played significant parts in Wales' 3-0 victory over Norway at Wrexham last night.

The Wales squad were staying at Carden Park Hotel near Chester, which is owned by Wolves' chairman. Steve Morgan. Before they left for the Racecourse Ground, Steve popped in to wish the boys all the best.

Wayne kept a clean sheet in the opening 45 minutes before he was replaced at the interval by Lewis Price, whilst David came on at the start of the second half.

The midfielder almost celebrated his introduction with a goal but Norwegian keeper Hakon Opdal pushed his shot onto a post and the ball was cleared.

But David had the last laugh when he selflessly teed up Jason Koumas for a third Welsh goal in the final minute.

Earlier in the game Freddy was also a provider when his defence splitting pass opened up the way for Crystal Palace's Carl Fletcher to notch his first international goal.

Steve Morgan said: "It was great to have Wales staying at Carden Park and particularly pleasing to see the three Wolves lads there.

"All three played excellently with Freddy's brilliant through ball making the first goal and Dave's great play creating the third. Along with that, Wayne kept another clean sheet."

Hamish Ferguson, General Manager of Carden Park Hotel, added: "We have welcomed a wide range of national teams including England at full and under 21 levels, and also the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United and AC Milan.

"Carden has a full size football pitch of a Premiership standard and dining facilities with access to the bedrooms so privacy is assured. The Hotel often accommodates chefs who travel along with the respective teams."

Also on Wednesday evening, Darren Potter came on at half-time as the Republic of Ireland lost 1-0 to Brazil in Dublin. Kevin Foley was an unused substitute."

Meanwhile, Andy Keogh played for the 90 minutes of the Republic's 3-0 defeat against England under 21s on Tuesday evening.

Default Early bird prices froze again

Early Bird prices for Wolves season ticket holders have been frozen for a fourth consecutive year.

Nearly 18,000 supporters will benefit from the incentive scheme that offers existing season ticket holders the chance to renew their seat for next season, before a deadline of Friday 14 March, at a price that is much lower than the summer tariff.

Next season's individual Championship match ticket prices for juniors (under 12 and under 17) will also be frozen but there will be a small increase of £1 on adult and senior tickets.

The club has opted for the Early Bird price freeze policy, even though many members of the Fans Parliament had supported an increase in price this year.

Adult season ticket holders who buy before the deadline of Friday 14 March will pay the same as they would have done if they had bought an Early Bird 12, 24 or even 36 months ago.

An adult Early Bird season ticket for the Stan Cullis or Jack Harris Stand will cost £345. The price equates to just £15 per game - a discount of £9 per fixture when compared to match-to-match prices or nearly nine 'free' games.

Junior under 12s prices start from as little as £23 in the family enclosure.

Chief executive Jez Moxey says: "This price freeze should be fantastic news for our most loyal supporters.

"An Early Bird season ticket represents outstanding value for money. Almost 18,000 fans, the majority of our supporter base, can buy one of the cheapest season tickets in the Championship so, with nothing further to pay if the team is promoted to the Premiership, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

"I am sure we will have huge demand because not only are our prices low but we are also offering adults a chance to spread the cost of their ticket, and pay 0% interest for six months, if they buy it on a Wolves MasterCard.*

"This is our way of saying thank you to the fans for their support. We know loyalty works both ways."

Renewal packs will be posted to existing season ticket holders next week.

At least they haven't gone up and if they had of gone up they would of lost money as fans wouldn't of paid it after a disappointing season so far.
